新年好 !  敬祝所有會員身體健康，萬事如意。
本會在去年的聖誕節期間，有幸的受到台灣愛樹保育協會、台中市政府農業局、和台北市某政府部門的邀請，在兩個城市分别的舉辦了各一場的行道樹修剪講座和現場攀樹工作示範，獲得了參加者的一致好評。  我們也在空檔时間裡繼續培養台灣的第一批工作攀樹種子教練。
據本會所悉，是類採用國際通行樹藝知識，和現場攀樹修剪示範的講座加表演，可能是台灣的首次。  從現場觀眾的熱情反應來看，這兩次的講座示範都舉辦得非常成功。  本會所派出的人員，都是持有樹藝牌照和富有經驗的專家，他們對所做的講解和示範，都給參加者留下了深刻的印象。
樹藝是一個操作性強的實務行業，不能天天光在課堂裡講，而在大樹面前沉默。  只講問題而不懂合理解決，也不是樹藝行業的國際做法，而修剪往往只是城市裡面的老樹大樹的可行護理方法的首選。  樹木修剪經常涉及到攀樹，因為機械平台一般只能到達樹冠的外圍和底部，去不到大樹冠的內部和頂部。  採用建築吊籠載人操作電油鋸做樹木修剪，在國際上被認為危險行為，因為電油鋸使用的時候會產生反應力，把操作人員連吊籠一起推來拉去，做成失衡。
本會是目前中華地區內最有歷史和人數最多的樹藝組織，累積經驗豐富。  我們樂意把正確的樹藝知識与區內的人分享，為保育和管理好我們的樹木出一分力。

Dear Station Members,
CAA was invited by the Tree Conservation Society of Taiwan, the Taichung City Government and the Taipei City Government individually, to conduct a Tree Pruning Seminar and Demonstration in Taichung & Taipei cities during the Christmas period of 2013.  The Station Manager Sammy Au and a few selected HK tree climbers attended the event.  We simultaneously continued our tree climbing training to our students in Taiwan at the same time.
Several hundred Civil Servants and public participated the seminar & demonstration in both cities.  Since this may be the first time such an event was delivered in Taiwan and in their local language, the participants were seemingly amazed by the knowledge and skills practiced for years in the international community in tree work.  Many questions were raised,  and each was answered with references and standards. 
CAA is the only arboricultural organization in the China Region able to deliver international knowledge in arboriculture with depth and experience in the local languages.  We are also the biggest and the most influential.  We are here to promote proper knowledge and practice in the Arborist Profession to benefit the tree planting in our territory. 
CAA will continue to do our good work in our community, one tree and one Arborist at a time, with patience.
