至今世界上已有過百個的各類型樹藝學術組織存在，所產生的 “注冊樹藝師” 或相同性質的從業員， 都已經超過 25,000 個。 仔細來看，當中負有盛名的 “顧問樹藝師學會” 則只有幾個，而至今所產生的 “顧問樹藝師” 牌照也只有幾百個，相當罕貴。 樹藝行業在國際上的資格排列，有如其他專業一樣，一般都以其專業資歷為準，而不是學歷。 在其當中，澳洲顧問樹藝師學會 (IACA) ，是本會所承認其專業資格的其中一個。

 

IACA 的會員分兩類，第一類是 “行業會員” (Associate Member, AM) ，是發給有興趣成為 “顧問樹藝師”的行內人仕，但其資歷尚未達到要求。 第二類是 “專業會員” (Accredited Member, ACM) ，申請人必須達到某些學術和工作經驗水平，通過 IACA 考核委員會的評審，才能獲發 ACM 証照。

 

要參加 ACM 評核試，申請人必須持有 “澳洲資歷架構” (Australian Qualification Framework, AQF) 第五級的樹藝文凴，通過三次的樹藝師報告測試，最後還要通過 IACA 考核委員會的評核後，才能成為 ACM，難度非常高。 由於澳洲是英聯邦成員國，其証照一般在其他英聯邦國家受到尊重或承認。  ACM 的報考詳情可在 http://www.iaca.org.au/home/files/prospective_-_form_-_IACA_Appln_for_Accredited_Member_ACM_2013_2014_-_19_July_2013.pdf 進行下載。

 

在 CAA 的樹藝師評級當中 (http://www.chinaarbor.com/牌照分类/) ，ACM 是被評定為可以接受的 “顧問樹藝師” 牌照級別。 在整個大中華地區的 1,000+ 個各類型樹藝師牌照當中，很可惜的到目前為止，只有本會會長歐永森一人，是能夠持有 ACM 牌照。 据聞香港方面曾有數十個 “注冊樹藝師” 前往IACA 報考 ACM 牌照，可惜全都名落孫山，非常遺憾。

 

“顧問樹藝師” 証照乃是樹藝師牌照當中的最高點，是行業表現的顛峰，需要的專業知識和行業經驗与學術界的要求有所不同，兩者不能混為一談。 行業有行業的特性，專業有專業的要求。 若然只是抱著  “萬官皆下品，唯有讀書高” 這種書儒態度來斷奪一個專業的話，這是完全不符合國際主流， 只是故步自封，自我陶醉也罷。 如果如此，則而其他的 “工程師” 、 “建築師” 、 “律師” 、 “醫生” 等等的學會，也可能一併不需要存在甚麼專業牌照了罷，有個 “博士” 銜頭掛在胸前，便足夠滿足一切需求 ？  這種情況在西方先進地區肯定不會出現。

 

CAA 希望在不久將來，能有更多的 “顧問樹藝師” 在大中華地區湧出，讓行業更能与國際接軌，來進一步推動樹藝專業的發展。

CAA is here to promote the Arborist Profession in the China Region.  To do this, we maintain contact with various international Arbor Group to update our knowledge & information.  In here, we wish to introduce the Australian Institute of Consulting Arboriculturists (IACA, http://www.iaca.org.au) for your interesting information & knowledge.

 

IACA was formed in 2003 as a national organization by professional Consulting Arboriculturists in Australia.  Membership is comprising qualified practitioners concentrating on the provision of advice about trees to the public, all levels of government, anyone managing trees, and the building industry.  It was founded to support and promote the professional interests and ongoing development of Consulting Arboriculturists in Australia and their specialized services providing objective and unbiased advice to the community for managing urban trees.

 

With Australia as part of the Commonwealth, IACA is respected & regarded with esteem in the rest of the Commonwealth, where practicing standards are shared & similar.

 

IACA's mission is to support the development of the members and their consultancies through networking and ongoing training opportunities and concentrate on the development and promotion of our profession.

IACA Consulting Arboriculturists or Consulting Arborists are qualified tree experts with experience and qualifications in the science of arboriculture, and its practical applications.  IACA Consulting Arborists are qualified with a minimum Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) Level 5 in Arboriculture, such as a Diploma of Horticulture (Arboriculture) or equivalent.

 

There are two classes of membership in IACA, namely the Accredited Membership (ACM) & the Associate Membership (ASM).  It is the ACM that CAA would regard to be acceptable to the Consulting Arborist Class in our Arborist Ranking (http://www.chinaarbor.com/牌照分类/) , & to become an ACM is hard.  Station Members can refer to http://www.iaca.org.au/home/files/prospective_-_form_-_IACA_Appln_for_Accredited_Member_ACM_2013_2014_-_19_July_2013.pdf on how to become an ACM.  Currently, there is only the Station Manager Sammy Au holding this credential outside Australia.

 

Consulting Arborist is the premium part of the Arborist Profession to provide advice & consultation on Tree Management & Tree Care.  It may be the ultimate for those who do not want to advance solely on tree work & research.  CAA regards it as the Crème de la Crème in the profession.  It is certainly not easy to become one.

 

CAA wishes to see more of our Arborists wanting to become a Consulting Arborist in the China Region with action.  This will elevate our profession to match the international community, one tree & one Arborist at a time.
