自本年一月份開始，本會不斷收到香港會員投訴，說香港有分區地政署，不再接受由樹藝師去撰寫樹木報告，而改為建議樹木屬主或物業管理公司去聘用注冊園景師 (台灣叫景觀師) 來撰寫報告。 由於如此做法有違香港的現行法規指引，同時亦可造成香港本來已經數量泛濫的樹藝師人員減工失業，故此在查明事實後，本會決定採用專函寫到香港政府最高領導機構的政務司署，再由其向下轉發到地政總署陳情，在上週本會得到回覆如下：
按文中所述，地政署的樹木報告均可接受由注冊園景師和有能力人士去撰寫，而有足夠經驗和受過正統訓練的樹藝師，可以充當成為有能力人士。 事實上是本會歐會長從2003年至今都是以有能力人士的身份去撰寫樹木報告，本行眾多的注冊樹藝師也同樣撰寫這類報告多年，事情已經成為慣例，不容爭辨。 國際上，樹藝師是樹木護理的公認專家，樹藝師的訓練也圍繞著樹木本科，如果香港有真的人才不用，而喜歡偏用其他，那倒不如叫化粧美容師去撰寫醫療報告也罷，可以嗎？
在這事情解決後，日後如果再有會員碰到上述疑難，大可將這會訊公開給樹木屬主或物業管理公司查閱，看看結果如何，當然也歡迎隨時與本會聯絡。
本會的成立宗旨是為了在大中華地區發展和保護樹藝行業，由2004年至今，從未改變。 作為一個行業的代表機構，如果不全心全力的去維護行業和會員利益，而只顧大搞訓練牌照去撈真金白銀，這能夠代表行業和取得會員們的真心支持嗎？ 相信誰人都能夠明白這簡單道理。
路遙知馬力，日久見人心。 真的是假不了，假的是躲不了。 本會十年來在大中華地區把樹藝行業發展得從無到有，從小到大，到處為行業和會員爭取利益，令樹藝行業不斷茁壯擴大，成績有目共睹。 但願本會能夠繼續團結進步，日創佳績，則這是樹藝行業的福祉所在也。

Dear Station Members,
Since January 2015, CAA has received many complaints from Station Members from HK that certain Land Offices of the HK Govt, would “advise” the tree owners & management companies to employ landscape architects only instead of Arborists, to write up tree reports. As this will damage the Arborist Profession in HK & set a bad example to the other parts of Taiwan & China, CAA therefore wrote to the highest authorities of the HK Govt, the Chief Secretary Office, to seek an explanation. We have consequently received a reply as below:
CAA develops & protects the Arborist Profession in the China Region. This is written in our constitution. If anyone tries to suppress or lower our profession through administrative or other means, CAA will stand up to defend our members. Above is not the first time we took such action, & will not be the last time as long as we are here to serve.
CAA will continue to represent the Arborist Profession in the China Region. We have done this for the past 10 years already, & have grown this profession from zero to today. What we have done will be remembers in history, as no matter others would try, facts are there to witness.
